Ken and Emily met through mutual friends almost 10 years ago on a flag football team in Connecticut. The two spent the next three years hanging out in group settings, including trips to Vermont and Cape Cod, as well as weekends out in West Hartford Center. Ken moved to New York in early 2018 and the two loosely stayed in touch.

In December 2018, Emily was in New York for a work trip and Ken asked her to drinks. It was the first time the two hung out one-on-one and they really hit it off. Over the next five months Ken would travel back to Connecticut on weekends to visit Emily until the two officially started dating in May 2019.

When lockdowns started in March 2020, Ken quarantined in Connecticut with Emily for three months. (Shoutout Casey and her cat Kitty, who rounded out the rest of the quarantine crew in the apartment). As Ken and Emily were in a relationship for less than a year at this time (a long distance one at that) the lockdown was really how the couple got to know each other. Thankfully wine nights on the couch, Tiger King, and game nights only brought them closer.

Once lockdowns eased, Ken and Emily were able to resume their typical relationship of weekends spent visiting each other and traveling for holidays and friends' weddings.

In the Spring of 2022, they were finally able to end long distance when Emily moved to New York! The two moved to the Upper East Side with Emily's two cats, Fin and Mako, where they continue to live today.

Early 2024 led to another adventure for the couple when Ken was temporarily relocated to London, which Emily was lucky enough to join! They spent those months exploring the city, hosting guests, and traveling. In March 2024, on a weekend trip to Paris, Ken proposed under the Eiffel Tower, kickstarting the next adventure for the couple!!
